Grand Canyon Guided Hiking

Choose from the most popular trails including South Kaibab, Bright Angel, Grand View, Tanner, and Hermit. We will work with you to make sure the hike you choose is appropriate for your level. All hikes are led by a certified guide so your experience of the grand canyon is safe and fun. Whether you select a sunrise or sunset hike, our expert guides will make using these trails easy and accessible to any experience level.

The descent is steep, but the breathtaking scenery makes it worth every step. Take a private Grand Canyon hiking tour with us and get up close and personal with the canyon! We offer guided hiking tours of the Grand Canyon on several of the best trails along the South Rim, departing from Flagstaff or Grand Canyon in the early morning.

Our expert guides will discuss with you your experience and skill level in order to decide which hiking trails would be the best fit for you. Our professional guides will ensure that you have the best experience possible. Because our hiking tours are completely private, your hiking experience is personalized and can be as long or as short as you want.

Canyon Dave Tours offers lunch at a local restaurant. Then, you’ll spend the afternoon visiting one or two popular viewpoints. The best time for photos is at the final viewpoint, when the shadows deepen in Grand Canyon and more wildlife emerges. As you take in the best views of Grand Canyon, your guide will give a final presentation about the geology.

Most Grand Canyon day hikes start at the South Rim. Once you meet your guide you will make your way to the trailhead and, after a short orientation, begin hiking. Your guide will provide you with backpacks, trekking poles, and – in the winter – crampons. Throughout your hike you will learn about the geology of the Canyon, the Native American and pioneer history, the natural forces of erosion that formed and shaped the Grand Canyon, and more! We provide snacks while you hike and a tasty picnic lunch at a beautiful viewpoint. We’ll eventually make our way back towards the South Rim, the end of an incredible day.

This is the king of Grand Canyon hiking trails on the North Rim. As you hike, you’ll be able to enjoy the stunning beauty of the canyon. You can continue on to Ribbon Falls at the Grand Canyon, but this is a lengthy multi-day backpacking trip (16.8 mi round trip). For the more adventuresome individuals, our group Daily Hikes are also a fantastic way to experience Grand Canyon.
